Physique XL is a heavy duty awning system exclusively designed to use 13' awning arms. It is a member of a
chain driven arms awning family. Every retractable awning, while being extended, experiences a lot of
mechanical loads, especially during windy conditions. These loads become more significant for awnings with
greater projection, mainly for 13' projection. Physique XL features exceptionally robust awning arm shoulders
designed to handle the torque at the point where the arm is connected to the square bar, as well as forceful
lateral awning arms with rigid stainless steel chain links.
All awning parts are made from corrosion resistant materials and most of them are finished with a white
powder coating. The awnings are made to the client specification with custom widths starting from 15' wide in

Extremely strong awning arm shoulder made of high strength extruded and die cast aluminum sustains the weight and tremendous torques associated with a 13' projection. The awning's inclination can be easily changed on the job site using a hex key. |

The Physique XL awning arms use extruded aluminum profiles and die-cast elbow joints with stainless steel chains. Powerful springs keep the fabric in tension at all times. Self-lubricating bronze bushings reduce wear and tear. |

The fixing bracket is designed to maximize the range of motion of the awning arms where they meet the front bar, while using signature shock-absorbing parts to extend the life of the awning. |

Specially engineered, internally reinforced front bars give continuity to the fabric top and added strength to the overall system. The profile on the right is used for smaller awnings and the profile on the left is for awnings with a width over 16' and/or projection of 11'8". |

A specially designed 40mm extruded aluminum square bar with 5mm architectural reinforcement ribs that prevent it from twisting. This improvement is done to accommodate the increased torque of a larger projection awning. |

Physique XL awning uses a structural galvanized steel roller tube with spring memory to re-bound to its original shape. |

A variety of awning brackets for any installation. Wall (regular and 3-hole), ceiling, roof brackets and 4 sizes of rafter brackets (to be used in combination with ceiling brackets). |

A speedy bevel awning gear with a 5:1 ratio for quick and easy use. A special feature of this gear is a stopper that prevents the awning from rolling up in the wrong direction. |

Made of solid extruded aluminum, the optional awning hood protects the awning from dirt, debris and the elements. A weather strip at the back eliminates the need for caulking. Unlike other metal awning hoods, this one will not make a vibrating noise in the wind. |

Maximize your retractable awning enjoyment with a remote controlled motor from Somfy. Preinstalled at the factory, it only needs to be plugged into the regular outlet. Also available with manual override, which lets you retract your awning manually if power loss occurs. |

Wall Mount Quick Install Guide
Locate a stud or header with a stud finder. Drill a pilot hole.
Mount the wall bracket using a lag bolt and washer. For a 12' awning you will have 3 wall brackets.
Take the awning out of the box and lift into place. You are done, enjoy your patio or deck this summer!
